Candida:

Candida is a yeastlike fungus that is present in the mouth, intestines, esophagus, throat and genital tract. Under normal circumstances, it inhabits these areas and lives in balance with other bacteria and yeast in the body. However, certain conditions (for example a weakened immune system) can cause it to multiply and cause an infection which travels through the bloodstream to other areas of the body.

Essential Oils Suggested for Treatment:

Patchouli , Tea Tree

Suggestions for Use:
  • Add ten drops of essential oil to the bath and soak for fifteen minutes
  • In the case of Vaginitis (the result of Candida infecting the vagina) massage the abdomen and lower back with essential oil diluted in a carrier oil
Cautions:

If you have chronic or unusually persistant Candida infections, consult your physician.
