Insect Bites:

Insect bites (of the non-poisonous variety) can cause itching and swelling, but are relatively harmless and are more of a nuisance than anything else.

 
Essential Oils Suggested for Treatment:

Chamomile, Lavender, Tea Tree

 
Suggestions for Use:
  • Combine the essential oil with 1fl oz carrier oil and apply to the bite. (Lavender or Tea Tree oil can be used on their own without a carrier oil for this purpose)
  • Add 10 drops of essential oil to the bath and soak for fifteen minutes
  • Use a few drops of essential oil to a cold compress to ease swelling
